The German equestrian federation and team trainer Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen have selected the riders that will represent Germany at the 2017 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 9 - 13 August 2017.
Following a special training camp at the DOKR headquarters in Warendorf on 19 July 2017, where the short listed combinations had to prove form once again, the selectors were able to make their final pick based on the results achieved at the two qualifiers in Wiesbaden and Hagen this past spring.
Germany will be represented by:
Junior Riders
- Rebecca Horstmann - Friend of mine
- Linda Erbe - Fierro
- Lia Welschof - Linus K
- Johanna Sieverding - Lady Danza
The reserve rider is Cosima von Fircks on Diabolo or Easy Fellow.
Young Riders
- Anna Christina Abbelen - First Lady
- Semmieke Rothenberger - Geisha or Dissertation
- Luca Michels - Rendevouz
- Hannah Erbe - Carlos
The first reserve rider is Ann-Sophie Lückert on Fairmont, the second reserve is Leonie Richter on Babylon.
