2017 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

The French Equestrian Federation and Societé Hippique Française have announced that only three horses will be representing France at the 2017 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 3 - 6 August 2017. France is eligible to send two horses per age division to these Championships, but instead of fielding six they chose five.

The French Equestrian Federation (FFE) has to share responsibility with the Societé Hippique Française (SHF) when it comes to selection young horses for international championships. The SHF has made their pick amongst the 5 and 6-year olds while the FFFE with selectors Jan Bemelmans and its Technical dressage staff decided to nominate the 7-year old.

The French horses for Ermelo are:

5-year olds

  • Isabelle Gayot - DayDream d'Arion (by Don Diamond x Lauries Crusador xx) - owned by Isabelle Gayot

6-year olds

  • Lena Thouvenin - Diamondgio LTH Dressvalue (Oldenburg by Diamo Gold x Pik Noir) - owned by Henri Touvenin
  • Julien Vincent - Girello VWM (KWPN, by Andretti x Royal Dance) - Owner: Benedicte Guillot de Suduiraut
