The Dutch equestrian federation and team trainer Monique Peutz have announced the team that will represent The Netherlands at the 2017 European Pony Championships in Kaposvar, Hungary on 25 - 30 July 2017.
Peutz was able to nominate her team right after the Finals of the 2017 KNHS FEI Pony Cup circuit which concluded in Roosendaal last weekend. Based on results achieved in these national shows as well as at CDI events this 2017 show season, Peutz picked her four riders.
"It's an entirely new team. None of the riders ever rode a European Championship before," said Peutz. "One pony has already performed there though. The riders and ponies have each gained much experiened at international and Dutch CDI's and performed well there. I'm very confident in this adventure."
The Dutch pony team includes:
- Brandy Bos – Charming Foret
- Marten Luiten – Movie Star
- Sam Oudhof – Bodethal’s Kosima
- Micky Schelstraete – Elin’s Noncisdador
The reserve rider is Kiki Romney on Reedborder Amazing.
Peutz will be assisted in Kaposvar by team veterinarian Rijk Jan Pleijter.
