The 5-year old Matchball and the 6-year old Bonito L were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification tests held at the regional show in Fröndenberg on Friday 16 June 2017.
Judges Bodo Maiwurm, Klaus Ridder and Josef Ulmker favoured Stefanie Wolf's ride on Thomas Voss' Oldenburg gelding Matchball (by Millennium x De Niro) and rewarded the horse with an 8.2 total. The black gelding got 8.5 for trot, 8 for xalk, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Stefanie Wolf also placed second aboard Claudia Heicke's Rhinelander stallion Arango (by Apache x Fidermark) with 7.7. The black stallion scored 7.5 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 8 for canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
The 6-year olds were assessed by Maiwurm, Ulmker and Jürgen Uthoff and they placed Uwe Ruck on the Westfalian gelding Bonito L (by Belissimo M x Mon Cheri) first with 7.4. The liver chestnut gelding got 7 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8 for canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression. Anika Schulte-Lorenz and Paul Lorenz' Westfalian gelding Solist R (by Sunday x Florestan) tied in second place with Marion Wiebusch on Massener Heide's Quattromani (by Quaterback x Latimer) on a score of 7.3. Solist R got 7.5 for trot, 8 for walk, 7 for canter and 7.5 for submission and general impression. The Oldenburg licensed Quattromani got 6 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
