Theresa Wahler Marries Casimir von Schultzendorff

Klosterhof Medingen's heir Theresa Wahler married the 30-year old Casimir von Schultzendorff in a lavish wedding on the family property in Bad Bevesen, Germany, on 20 May 2017.

Wahler and Von Schultzendorff got married at Klosterhof Medingen, where there is a wonderful monastery in walking distance from the farm. After the church wedding, where horses Danone and Flanell awaited the newly wed couple, there was an al fresco reception in the garden, which was overlooked by the Medingen stallions, including foundation stallion De Niro, looking out of their window. In the evening a big celebration was held in the indoor arena.

Numerous dressage celebrities were in attendance: Anabel Balkenhol, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe, Fabienne Lutkemeier, and Katharina Winkelhues, amongst others. 

"It was such a wonderful weekend and I was really honored that all my friends came to celebrated it with us, especially since it is in the middle of the competition seoson," Wahler told Eurodressage. "We are still overwhelmed by the happines, by the words of our families and friends and are trying to think every second over and over!"

Theresa's husband Casimir works at Claas, an agricultural machinery manufacturing company. The couple shares a connection with horses as the Von Schultzendorff family members are renowned fox hunters. Theresa will take over her husband's last name. 

The couple has been spending their honeymoon in Lisbon, Portugal, this week.
