Four Danish selectors have assessed a large group of young horses and drafted a long list of horses that are eligible to compete in the final Danish qualifier to determine the team for the 2017 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses to be held in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 3 - 6 August 2017.
Selectors Gunilla Nyman Faurby (judge), Dennis Fisker (rider), Birthe Lyder (mentor) and Natalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein (team trainer) spent two days at the national equestrian centre in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, to select the best Danish youngsters for Ermelo.
On 25 May a special selection day was held for potential team candidates that had not already qualified via last year's young horse championships. On 26 May the official observation trial was held were the selectors made their final pick for the long list.
The long listed pairs are eligible to compete in a team qualifier held at the 2017 Danish Dressage Championships in Broholm on 8 - 9 July 2017.
