Dutch young rider team member Lisanne Zoutendijk has made her show debut on a new young riders' horse, Rolling Stone. At the regional show in Den Dungen, the new duo rode its first competitive Prix St Georges test.

"There were still expensive mistakes in the tempi changes and turns on the haunches, but we got almost 64%," said Zoutendijk. "We'll continue to practise and find the right buttons."

Rolling Stone is a 10-year old NRPS registered gelding by Ravel x Lancet. He bred by Dutch dressage rider Jeffrey Heijstek, who co-owns a barn with the Zoutendijk family.

"He has been trained and competed up to Grand Prix level by Jeffrey's life partner Jeroen Okkema," Zoutendijk told Eurodressage, "But because he's more busy than normal, I will ride Rolling Stone at young riders' this year."

Okkema rode Rolling Stone in two international young horse classes as a 5-year old at the 2012 CDI's in Vidauban and Pompadour. He once competed him at small tour level at the 2015 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland. The pair won the bronze at the 2015 Dutch Small Tour Championships.

The soon to be 19-year old Zoutendijk has been a long time member of the Dutch youth teams. Aboard the pony Champ of Class (by Champion de Luxe) she won bronze and silver at the 2013 and 2014 European Pony Championships. She also represented Holland at the 2015 and 2016 European Junior Riders Championships with Ringo Star (by Riccione), where she won double team silver and individual test bronze.

Zoutendijk has now three horses to compete, her team routinier Ringo Star, new comer Rolling Stone and with Watteau she'll be practising for the Under 25 division.

"I'm going to keep Watteau at home for now and train for Under 25, because that suits him better than young riders," said Lisanne.
