Dutch A-team members Marten Luiten and Movie Star became the winners of the third leg of the 2016-2017 KNHS Dutch FEI Pony Cup show circuit which was held in Vorden, The Netherlands, on Saturday 18 February 2017. Hosted at dressage stable Seren, the third leg was originally planned for 7 January but postponed due to the bad weather.
Luiten and his 9-year old Dutch Welsh pony Movie Star (by Hagelkruis Valentijn x Orchard d'Avranches) were the only pair to crack the 70% score. With 72.66% they dominated the field and aces the clas.
Sam Oudhof and the 15-year old German riding pony mare Bodethal's Kosima (by Speyksbosch Nelson x Woldberg's Bart) became the runners-up with 69.57% while Brandy Bos and her 12-year old chestnut Welsh gelding Charmiong Foret (by Bodo x Leuns Veld's Elegant) were third with 69.12%.
This third leg was judged by Reijs, van der Harst and Hansen. The first leg was in Nieuw en St. Joosland in December 2016, the second took place two weeks ago in Genemuiden. More Pony Cup competitions are coming up in Vragender (18 March), Aerdenhout (29 April), Zuidwolde (13 May) and the Finals in Roosendaal (1 July).
