Rasmus Westgren has been appointed the new Swedish team veterinarian for dressage and show jumping. He is succeeding Jonas Tornell on the post.
Westgren is a certified veterinarian and member of ISELP (The International Society Of Equine Locomotor Pathology). He has worked for renowned Swedish veteriniarian Jonas Tornell and already served as an assistent team veterinarian. He now runs his own equine clinic Westgrens Sport Horse Clinic in Farhult, Sweden.
Westgren has also worked as an assistent trainer in Germany and Holland and done stallion performance testing and jumped up to 1.45m. He is still active as a competition rider.
The 37-year old Westgren attended the 2017 CDI-W Amsterdam in January as his first official CDI on the job.
