Jeremy Janjic's Django of Cacharel Retired from Sport

Australian Grand Prix rider Jeremy Janjic has retired his number one Grand Prix horse Django of Cacharel from sport after competing the Friesian in his last show at the 2016 CDI-W Melbourne on 18 - 20 November 2016.

The 15-year old Australian bred Friesian was celebrated in a special retirement ceremony at Equitana Australia in Werribee on Saturday night 19 November.  The pair had first competed in the Melbourne World Cup qualifier finishing 9th in the Grand Prix with 62.00% and 7th in the Kur to Music with 66.90%.

Django of Cacharel is bred in Australia by Carl Mitchell and owned by Lynn Jenkin. He is by Pike out of Renske van e Olde Hoek (by Jacob).  Django's dam Renske

Jeremy Janjic started Django of Cacharel as a youngster and produced him all the way up to Grand Prix level. The pair made its international Grand Prix debut in October 2011 at the CDI-W Sydney and they have competed consistently throughout the years from 2012 till 2016 in Australia and New Zealand.

Their international Grand Prix record scores are 66.560% in the Grand Prix and 69.950% in the Kur, both achieved at the CDI Hastings in New Zealand in 2015.

Django of Cacharel has been retired from top level competition but will continue to stand at stud at Tashkent Friesians in Australia.
