Judy Reynolds and the CHIO Aachen has been proclaimed the Best Dressage Rider and Event in the world by L'Annee Hippique and the International Dressage Riders' Club. The Geneva International Horse Show (CHI) has been voted the world's best show-jumping event.
Members of the International Riders Clubs and the readers of Horse International voted for their favourite Riders and Events of the year in Jumping, Dressage, Eventing and Driving. And here are your winners:
The CDIO Aachen is the unbeatable champion as Best Dressage Show in the World year after year. The Best Dressage Rider in the World went to Judy Reynolds (IRL).
The CHI Geneva, which is back to hosting an CDI this year, has been elected the world's top show jumping competition for the eight time.
Initially L'Anne Hippique's publisher BCM and Horse International had Charlotte Dujardin listed on their website as the winner of the Best Dressage Rider title, but they changed that one day later to Judy Reynolds. The CHI Geneva press release, published on 9 November, also mentioned Dujardin as winner.
