The KWPN society has announced that the 2016-2017 KWPN Stallion Competition circuit will feature three qualifiers across The Netherlands and a finals during the 2017 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch in February.
"The stallion competition has as goal to give breeders and interested people an insight in the performance capabilities of the stallions," the KWPN stated.
The KWPN Stallion Competition is mandatory for KWPN approved stallions. They have to compete in all three qualifiers to be eligible to compete in the finals. The 2010 born stallions, which have already done two years of the KWPN Stallion Competition circuit and still want to compete in the 6 year old division, can participate in the finals straight away. They will not be part of the circuit ranking though.
The 2016-2017 KWPN Stallion Competition circuit begins in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 23 November, followed by a qualifier in Kronenberg on 17 December (this one is the relocation of the Roosendaal qualifier), following by the Zuidbroek qualifier on 3 February 2017.
