Orchard NL, Nobless Vaness, Dirla Win 2016 French Young Pony Championships

2016 French Young Pony Championships

The 4-year old Orchard NL, the 5-year old Nobless Vaness, and the 6-year old Dirla became the winners and title holders of the 2016 French Young Pony Championships held during the national young horses championships at the 2016 CDI Saumur. These Nationals were held at the Cadre Noir and French National equestrian centre in Saumur on 23 - 25 September 2016.

Alizee Roussel and Matthieu Bellivier's Dutch bred Orchard NL (by Brouwershaven Diamond Hit x Orchard Red Prince) topped the board in the 4-year old division with a total of 79.6 points. The pair scored 79.2 % in the preliminar round and 80.0% in the Finals. Alice Delrieu and the German bred Dunia (by Djibouti x Priory Prickle) were the reserve champions with 77.8 points after scoring 77.0% and 78.6%. Floriane Peligrain and Laurence Milet's German Riding Pony Hesselteichs American Pie (by A Gorgeous x Donnerblitz) landed third place with 76.2 points after receiving 77.2 and 75.2%.

Ninon Ciesla and the Isabelle Roussey de Sales' German riding pony Nobless Vaness (by Nobel Nagano x Viscount) bested the field in the 5-year old division with an overall of 78.9%. The pair won the preliminary round with 81.2% and was third in the Finals with 76.6%. Chantal Klimmer steered Catherine Tsitsichvili's German bred Danny de Luxe (by Danny Gold x Champion de Luxe) to a second place with 77.9 points after scoring 78.2% and 77.6%. Flora Vieille Girardet landed third place aboard the French bred Bouton d'Or de Fey (by Kooihuster Take it Easy x Orage Normand). The duo totalled 77.9 after scoring 78.8 and 77.0%.

In the 6-year old division Belgian Amandine Prevost rode her mother's German sport pony bred Dirla (by Djibouti YS x Texas du Reumont) to the overall title after scoring 79.6% in the preliminary round and 82.4% in the finals round. Dirla totalled 81.0 points for victory. Cassandra Rouxel and the German bred Midnight Madness FAST (by Genesis B x Cansas) followed in the distance with an overall of 71.5. They became the reserve champions with 72.0 and 71.0%. The bronze medal went to Laurence Roux Fouillet aboard the French bred A Little Pink La Sage (by Gribouille d'Audes x Tardive la Sage) with 70.3 points. The pony scored 69.8% and 70.8%
