The filly Bojana von Waldegg and the colt Janiro von Buchmatt became the grand champions in the dressage division at the 2016 Swiss Warmblood Foal championship held at the 2016 Swiss Young Horse Championships in Avenches, Switzerland, on Sunday 18 September 2016.

In the filly division Fritz and Hanni Grunder's Bojana von Waldegg topped the board with a high score of 288 points. The Buckingham x Rubin Royal filly scored 120 points for conformation, 54 for walk, 60 for trot and 54 for canter. Philippa Marmet's filly Giulia de Bonmont (by Flambeau x Don Frederico) became the reserve champion with 286 points. This filly got 120 for conformation, 54 for walk, 58 for trot and 54 for canter.

Thomas Lustenberger's Janiro von Buchmatt aced the colt division with a 290 score, the high score of all dressage bred foals of the day. The Johnson x Danone I colt got 120 poiunts for conformation, 58 for for walk, and 56 for trot and canter. Thomas Schneider and Claudia Schwendener's colt Furst Totilas (by Furstenball x Totilas) was the reserve champion with the same high score of 290 points. He got 120 for conformation, 56 for walk, 60 for trot and 54 for canter.
