Liberty, Price Highlight of the 2016 KWPN Starsale Foal Auction

The dark bay colt Liberty (by Governor x Flemmingh) became the price highlight of the 2016 KWPN Starsale Foal Auction held in Drachten, The Netherlands, on Friday 26 August 2016. The Starsale auction had a mixed collection of jumper and dressage foals.

Liberty is bred by SJ de Groot and sold for 31,000 euro to Esben Moller of Blue Hors stud in Denmark.

The bay colt Long Island (by Grand Galaxy Win x Sir Sinclair), bred by Cees Kikkert, was the second most expensive dressage foal. It switched owners for 20,000 euro.

Filly La Diva Corieta Texel (by Toto Jr x Jazz), bred by Wim van der Linde, sold for 17,000 euro.  Filly Lafayett (by Ebony x Flemmingh) sold for 16,000 euro. The chestnut colt Larjan HR (by Vivaldi x Jazz) sold for 14,000 euro. Colt Le Vemmo (by Apache x Metall) sold for 11,000 euro while filly Larinka Weering (by Ebony x Rousseau) achieved a sale price of 10,500 euro.

The most expensive jumper foal was dark bay filly Lusandra TS (by Cornet Obolensky x Carthago) which also sold for 31,000 euro to Blue Hors.
