KWPN Licensed Stallion Houston Passed Away

The KWPN licensed keur stallion Kouston has passed awat at age 27. Houston was born in 1989 and bred by J. Gordijn in Sint-Oedenrode, The Netherlands. He was by Belisar out of Ciola (by Pion x Papillon).

Houston competed up to small tour level under Willem-Jan schotte, Seth Boschman and Annemiek Vincourt-Krom.

He has no less than 862 registered offspring with the KWPN society, but strikingly sired only two licensed sons: the 2002 KWPN licensing champion Symfonie (Houston x Columbus) and the 2005 approved Vincent (aka Valdez).

Based on the performances of his offspring at breed shows and in competition, Houston was proclaimed Keur stallion in 2006. He had a dressage index of 174 points (reliability of 83%) at the time.

Houston was owned by Riekus and Ilonka Veninga.
