Litvinienko and Brequet In the Spotlight at the 2016 Trakehner Championships

Litvinienko and Brequet stood out at the 2016 International Trakehner Championships held in Hanover, Germany, on 21 - 24 July 2016. More than 500 Trakehner bred sport horses from young horse level to small tour gathered in Germany. This year's championships are open to foreign countries and the 2016 edition had a bit of a Danish flavour going on.

Natalie Hering and the 7-year old Danish bred chestnut gelding Livinienko (by Imperio) won the M-level division with a total score of 8.7 after receiving 8 for walk, trot and overall impression. Litvinienko alreadt represented Denmark at the 2015 World Yougn Hrose Championships in Verden.

On the final day of competition Katja Camp won the Intermediaire I kur to music aboard the 12-year old Brequet (by Tivano x Silvermoon) with 74.967%.The Intermediaire I class on Saturday was won by Vera Breidenbach aboard Titan, a 14-year old by Biotop, with 70.482%.

In the riding horse classes for 3 and 4-year olds four new champions were crowed. Ivanhoe (by Millennium) won the 4-year old stallion class with 9.14, while Statement (by Oliver Twist) won the 3-year old stallion class under Stephanie Leuenberger with a score of 8.29.

In the 4-year old mares and geldings division Helen Langehanenberg steered Millennium's full sister Mille Grazie (by Easy Game) to victory with 8.71. Two horses received the champion's sash in the 3-year old mares and geldings division: Torino (by Hibiskus) under Lydia Campo and Bentayga (by Schwarzgold) under Wenke Tewes. Both horses scored 8.36.
