The Danish equestrian federation and Danish Olympic Committee have announced the team that will represent Denmark at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 9 - 15 August 2016.

Denmark earned its Rio team qualification by qualifying a composite team through individual ranking.

The top three contenders for a team spot were clear, but the battle for the fourth was wide open and the three candidates - Daniel Bachmann, Mikala Gundersen, and Anders Dahl - had to battle it out at the 2016 CDIO Aachen last weekend.

Danish team trainer Rudolf Zeilinger and team captain Kimi Nielsen made their recommendation of a team to the national federation.

The Danish Olympic team includes:

  • Anna Kasprzak - Donnperignon
  • Cathrine Dufour - Atterupgaards Cassidy
  • Agnete Kirk Thinggaard - Jojo AZ
  • Anders Dahl - Selten HW

The team reserve is Daniel Bachmann Andersen with Hotline.
