German Team Selected for 2016 Olympic Games

The dressage selection committee of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee (DOKR) has selected the team that will represent Germany in dressage at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 10 - 15 August 2016.

Based on the recommendations of team trainer Monica Theodorescu and assistant trainer Jonny Hilberath made after the final German Olympic selection event at the 2016 CDIO Aachen, the selection committee made the following recommendation for a team to the German Olympic Sport Federation.

Germany will be represented by

  • Kristina Bröring-Sprehe - Desperados FRH
  • Sönke Rothenberger - Cosmo
  •  Dorothee Schneider - Showtime FRH
  • Isabell Werth - Weihegold OLD

Hubertus Schmidt and the Trakehner stallion Imperio are nominated as the travelling reserve pair.
