The 5-year old Furst Magic and the 6-year old Destano snatched the trophies and blue ribbon in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Erbes-Budesheim on 1 - 3 July 2016. A moderate group of 13 youngsters in total travelled to the Erbes-Budesheim Dressage Festival to earn a ticket to Warendorf.
In the 5-year old division Laura Strobel and Bernhard Ilting-Reuke's Westfalian stallion Furst Magic (by Furstenball x Sir Donnerhall) led the pack with a winning 7.7 total score. The bay stallion got 6.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression. Jessica Kuchler and Hans-Jorg Baulig's Hanoverian gelding Sir Scolani (by Sir Donnerhall x Weltruhm) were second with 7.5. The black gelding got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 6.5 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
Two horses qualified for Warendorf in the 6-year olds by scoring the criterium of 8.0 or higher. Konrad Mann and the Hanoverian gelding Destano (by Dancier) topped the board with 8.1. The liver chestnut scored 8.5 for walk and 8 for trot, canter, submission and general impression. Danish Anne Kirkegaard and Isabelle Faber's Hanoverian Firlefanz (by Floriscount x His Highness) were second with 8.0. The chestnut stallion got 8.4 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
