The Norwegian Equestrian Federation has announced the teams that will represent Norway at the 2016 European Championships for Junior and Young Riders in Oliva Nova, Spain, on 19 - 24 July 2016.
Norway made its team selections already early this month and announced their horse-and-rider combinations on 7 June.
The Norwegian teams include:
Junior Riders
- Vilde Antonsen - Don Dino
- Christine Falbach -Ravell’s Herkules
- Cathrine Oppegaard - Smedegaardens Lucia
- Signe-Christine Forberg Lillerud - Højmarks Afrodite
Initially Ellen Karina Horn and Zidane (by Flemmingh x Gershwin) were selected on the junior team but they had to withdraw due to an injury. Team reserve Lillerud and Afrodite stepped in to take her spot.
Young Riders
- Alexandra Gamlemshaug Andresen - Borencio
- Mathilde Nilseng Mellerud - River Dance II
- Line Østli - Roomy
- Kristin Lie Aas - Danois
The young rider reserve is Madeline Hammerstad on Cabernet.
