The German equestrian federation and team trainer Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen have announced the teams that will represent Germany at the 2016 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Oliva Nova, Spain, on 19 - 24 July 2016.
Following the final selection trial at the 2016 CDIO-PJYR Hagen Future Champions last weekend, Meyer zu Strohen picked the following riders on the team:
Junior Riders
- Semmieke Rothenberger - Geisha or Dissertation
- Hannah Erbe - Carlos
- Rebecca Horstmann - Friend of mine
- Alexa Westendarp - Der Prinz
The junior reserve is Liselott Marie Linsenhoff - Danönchen OLD.
Young Riders
- Anna Christina Abbelen - Fürst on Tour or First Lady
- Jil-Marielle Becks - Damon's Satelite
- Leonie Richter - Babylon
- Anna-Lisa Theile - Ducati K
The young rider reserve is Claire Louise Averkorn on Alonso V
The Pony team, of which the Europeans take place in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark at the end of August, will be announced after the final selection trial in Darmstadt-Kranichstein.
