2016 CDIO-PJYR Hagen

Hof Kasselmann gears up for two weeks of outstanding competition with the best junior and young riders. Future Champions CDIO-PJYR will be held from 6 -12 June 2016, hosting for the first time eight Nations Cup-contests in the age-groups pony, children, junior and young riders in dressage and show jumping. The U25 dressage riders will conquer the event premises of the Kasselmann family the following week from 16 - 19 June 2016 to compete for three EC-titles in total at the European U25 Dressage Championships.

Future Champions (June 6 – 12, 2016)

Future Champions is without question the largest young rider festival of the world. The top-class competitions attract 650 participants from 26 different nations and approx. 1,000 horse, travelling to the show premises at the foot of the Hagen Borgberg in the Osnabrück/area. Not only the figures, but also the quality at Future Champions is hard to top: where the approved riders meet in Germany for the Nations Cup, hosted on the occasion of the well-known CHIO in Aachen, the future of equitation meets at Future Champions in Hagen, the “Aachen of the youth”.

The successes of former participants confirm that Future Champions creates brilliant riding sport careers. The current no. one of the world, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe for example, who is just focusing on her second Olympics, derives from the concept of “Future Champions”. Sustainably and carefully introducing talented young riders into the premiere league of equestrian, this also worked with the winner of the Grand Prix at Horses & Dreams meets Denmark in April 2016, Philipp Weishaupt. The show jumping rider has been participating at international competitions of all age-groups in Hagen at the Teutoburg Forest since his childhood.

LVM-Masters of the German equestrian associations – One team, two disciplines and plenty of fun – this is the “LVM-Masters of the German equestrian associations”: The German equestrian associations appoint eight-member teams, including junior and young riders in the disciplines dressage and show jumping who compete together for the title “LVM-Master”. A fantastic, new and sporty, multi-disciplinary “must have” and highlight of the national contests at “Future Champions”.

2016 European Under 25 Dressage Championships (June 16 – 19, 2016)

It is the first time this year that there will be continental title contests for riders aged 25 and younger. The young futurity Grand Prix-riders will meet for the first edition of the U25 European Dressage Championships from June 16 – 19, 2016, at the Hof Kasselmann.

„The sport schedule will include three tours“, explains Dressage Coordinator Dr. Ulf Möller. The European Championships, also called CH-EU-D-U25-Tour, consists of an Intermediaire II as team scoring and a Grand Prix, particularly designed for 16- to 25-year-old riders. The best 18 competitors from the Grand Prix will then show up for the Grand Prix freestyle. A team and two individual EC-titles will be awarded in Hagen mid of June. Twelve teams in total consisting of four riders have announced to participate at the EC-debut in this age group.

„We will proceed the same way like with the 2005 European Championships when we hosted the event instead of Moscow – or with the Dressage Nations Cup CDIO last year“, announced Organizer Ullrich Kasselmann. The U25-contests will be held in the main stadium.

There will be a CDI1*-tour in addition where the international participants have the opportunity to accomplish Prix St. Georges and Intermediare I. The CDI2*-tour is composed of Intermediaire II and Grand Prix de Dressage.

Jürgen Koschel, discipline trainer of the German U25 dressage riders, is focused on a medal, and following the German Championships in Balve this weekend(June 2 – 5, 2016), he will appoint the four riders for his team.

The list of possible German participants in the row of alphabetical order: Nadine Husenbeth (Sottrum) with Florida, Florine Kienbaum (Lohmar) with Doktor Schiwago, Juliette Piotrowski (Kaarst) with Sir Diamond, Sanneke Rothenberger (Bad Homburg) with Deveraux OLD and Wolke Sieben, Charlotte Rummenigge (Grünwald) with Fidelio B and Sarah Runge (Wuppertal) with Fürst Kaspar.
