On Saturday 16 April 2016 the prestigious dressage horse auction Excellent Dressage Sales will take place at Culitsrode Estate in Hooge Mierde, the Netherlands. All horses will be presented under saddle, with the exception of some young talents. Joep Schellekens said on behalf of the organizers: “We have noticed that this third edition of the Excellent Dressage Sales has even more international interest than last year. The horses have been tried out a lot over the last few weeks at the stables of co-organizers Tim Coomans, Joop van Uytert, Nico Witte, and Academy Bartels.
The presentation will start on Wednesday 13 April 2016 at 20.00 hours and has free entrance, the presentation and auction will take place on Saturday 16 April 2016 at 17.00 hours. Highlight, among others, is the ‘VSN’ winner Hannelinde. The appealing four-year-old mare won this trophy in 2015 with no less than a 9.5 for her trot and nines for her canter, rideability and general impression. The elite mare Dolly will also come under the hammer of auctioneer Koen Olaerts on 16 April. The eight-year-old mare by Ziësto scored an amazing score of 90 in her ‘IBOP’ test in 2012 and is certainly a Grand Prix prospect. In addition the KWPN approved stallion Grenoble will enter the auction ring. This long-legged beauty has a striking exterior, nothing seems to prevent a successful sportive and breeding career for this Bordeaux-son.

Try-outs
If you are interested in one or more of the auction horses it is possible to come and have a look and try them under saddle. If you wish to do so in the week prior to the auction all horses will be based at the venue. Excellent Dressage Sales supports charity
Dressage Sales again supports a charity. The international auction will donate the revenue of an exclusive ‘Longines Ladies Watch’ to ‘Stichting Gelukskinders’.
The watch is made available by Gassan Diamonds. ‘Stichting Gelukskinders’ intends to increase the well-being of growing children in disadvantaged regions. They realize this by creating play opportunities close to the habitat of the child, based on the view that children who can play happily will develop into happier adults. The exclusive ladies watch will go under the hammer of auctioneer Koen Olaerts during Excellent Dressage Sales.
