Liane Wachtmeister, Recipient of Dressage Trainers' Prize 2015

Swedish Grand Prix rider and dressage trainer Liane Wachtmeister is the recipient of the Swedish Dressage Trainers' Prize 2015. She will be honoured during the 2016 Gothenburg Horse Show and World Cup Finals this week.

The 65-year old Wachtmeister will receive a cheque of 15,000 SEK (approx. 1600 euro) and a certificate in Gothenburg on Friday 15 March 2016.

Wachtmeister last competed at international Grand Prix level in 2014 (CDI Zakrzow on Santana) and is currently the Swedish Under 25 trainer of the "Plantskolan", a nursury project to benefit the development of Swedish U25 Grand Prix riders.

The Dressage Trainers' Prize is an initiative of the Swedish Dressage Trainers' Club, dressage committee and Dressage Ring.

They motivated their choice by stating that "Liane is an A-level trainer in dressage that with much experience and tremendous commitment to  Swedish Dressage. She coaches her students with great knowledge. In recent years she has excellent as coach of the nursery project, teaching young people training and team spirit."
