The 3-year old Polish bred Kros and the 7-year old Thoroughbred Baltic Rock xx were the two approved stallions out of four presented at the 2016 Trakehner Spring Stallion Licensing in Munster-Handorf on 26 - 27 February 2016.

Six stallions in total were initially entered for the spring licensing, but four only showed up. The Trakehner licensing committee accepted Kros and Baltic Rock xx into the studbook.

The 3-year old Kros is bred in Poland by Marek Przeczewski and is by Ajbek out of Korsaka (by Sword xx). Trakehner breeding directr Lars Gehrmann praised the dark bay stallion for his "sympathic expression" and quality basic gaits. Kros is closely related to the already approved Polish bred half brothers Avator and Adorator (both by Ajbek).

The 7-year old Thoroughbred Baltic Rock xx is by Rock of Gribalter xx out of Born Wild xx (by Sadler's Wells). He's closely related to the legendary mare Borgia xx (by Acatenango xx).  The thoroughbred is bred by the German Gestut Ammerland but at its Irish base. He is owned by Stable Schneckenhof from Hernau, Germany. "He's a stallion that catches your eye a second time," said Gehrmann. "He has extraordinary basic gaits and presented himself sovereignly. He's a great thoroughbred for riding horse breeding."
