New Forest Pony Sire Brummerhoeve's Boss Passed Away

The renowned New Forest Pony licensed stallion and FEI Dressage Pony Brummerhoeve's Boss has passed away at age 27 on 19 February 2016.

The 1989 born bay New Forest Pony stallion was by Molenaars Golden King out of the elite, crown, preferent prestation mare Brummershoeve's Johanna (by Briljant x Prescott Julian x Mudeford No White).

The stallion was a very versatile pony, having competed at international FEI pony level in dressage, as well as Z-level in show jumping and M-level eventing and carriage driving.

Brummerhoeve's Boss especially proved his worth as a talented FEI Dressage pony and was competed by six different riders up to FEI Pony level. He was the schoolmaster for six riders of which four ended up making it on the Dutch team as a pony, junior or young rider. His riders included Vivienne de Jong, Germia Verste, Suzanne Coppes, Michelle van Lanen, Chantal van Lanen, and Kimberley de Jongh.  Brummerhoeve's Boss was a member of the Dutch B-pony team in 2006.

As a breeding sire, he produced eight licensed offspring. Boss was owned by Hannes Brummer, even though the FEI lists Kimberly de Jongh as his owner.
