The Oldenburg bred foundation mare Rumirell has passed away at age 26 following a severe colic attack. Rumirell was one of the most important brood mares for Oldenburg breeding.

Bred by Harli Seifert, the bay Rumirell was by Grundstein II out of Ruling Action (by Akzent II x Volturno).

"Rumirell was one of a kind: highly sensitive and intelligent. She knew exactly whom she was dealing with and both of us had a great trust in one another," seid Seifert. "She passed on that feel for humans to her offspring."

Rumirell produced ten foals in her life, of which six are licensed breeding stallions. She had nine foals by Rohdiamant, but her first one, born in 1994, was by Davignon.

The oldest of the sextet of licensed stallions is the former Grand Prix level competed Rubin Royal (1996). His five full brothers are Romanov (2000, Helgstrand, Minderhoud); Rumicello (2001) is owned by the Krause family from Bad Homburg and competing at Inter I level under Livia von Köller; Rubino Vincento (2002) competes at S-level in Austria under Bettina Vaupetitsch-Umdasch; Rubin Action (2003) is competing on the Under 25 circuit with Stella Charlott Roth; and Rockefeller (2005) is standing at Blue Hors in Denmark.

Her female offspring are Deriaba (1994), Rumira (1997), Rumirella (2004) and Rubina Royal (2008).

Rumirell suffered from a severe colic attack and the vets could not save her. She was euthanized.
