Fourteen colts were picked for the 2016 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing following a pre-selection at the Oldenburg headquarters in Vechta, Germany, on 18 January 2016.
The 2016 Oldenburg saddle licensing takes place on 31 March 2016 for dressage bred colts. Afterwards a group of stallions will be sold at the Oldenburg Spring Elite auction on 2 April 2016.
The pre-selection for the Saddle Licensing was open to 3-year old non-licensed colts as well as 4-year old colts which have already done a 30/40/50-day stallion performance test.
At the pre-selection the stallions were presented in hand on hard surface and afterwards lunged. The licensing committee announced their pick after the colts were finally presented in hand in walk.
