Nicoletta and Khamel Ghribi of GK Horses have acquired the 11-year old Oldenburg bred Darius Rubin as a Grand Prix prospect for American Cesar Parra. The horse has been renamed to Dancing Rubies.

Darius Rubin is by Dressage Royal out of Royal Touch (by Rohdiamant). The horse was owned by his breeder, Austrian laywer Astrid Anna Artner, and competed at small tour level by Caroline Kottas-Heldenberg for two years.

Kottas and Darius Rubin made their CDI debut at the 4* in Achleiten in June 2015. They have competed at the CDI's in Fritzens, Nice, Kaposvar and Treffen. They won the small tour at the CDI Nice in August 2014 with solid seventy percentage marks.

Parra will now continue the show career of Dancing Rubies. The horse will arrived at Parra's winter base in Jupiter, Florida, soon. Both Cesar and Nicoletta Ghribi believe that the 11-year old chestnut gelding has all the quality to compete with the best in the world.

“I was immediately impressed by Dancing, he is a real eye-catcher with beautiful gaits and charisma, but even more important to me was the near-instant partnership I witnessed with Cesar and Dancing. It was really amazing to see,” remarked Nicoletta.

Cesar added that, “I am really grateful to Nicoletta and Kamel Ghribi for this opportunity. I felt an immediate connection with Dancing. He is a positive-thinking horse that really seeks to do a good job, plus he has amazing quality. He has so many highlights! We are looking forward to his bright future and I am thrilled to have him in the barn.”

Immediate plans are for the new pair to get to know each other and perhaps begin competition at the end of the Florida season.

“We will see. As exciting as this is, I do understand that we can’t rush into the show ring. When Dancing is ready to go he will tell us and then we will go,” remarked Nicoletta. “We trust in Cesar’s judgement,” continued Kamel Ghribi, “I know that we and our horses are in great and responsible hands.”
