Several German top riders, including Dorothee Schneider, Andreas Dibowski and Heinrich-Hermann Engemann, switched riding gloves for a paint brush and created several original paintings, which was sold in a charity auction for 8,300 euro to benefit Riding Against Hunger.

The new owners of the paintings received their work of art at the 2015 PSI Auction in Ankum at the beginning of December.

The initiative comes from the German equestrian magazine Reiter Revue in partnership with the LVM Insurance agency and Equiva. Readers of Reiter Revue had to spend five euros for Riding Against Hunger to be in the running to win a painting.

The winners were Ulla Luther, Christian Ullmann and Holger Heigel

The proceeds of 8,300 euro went to Riding Against Hunger. Gudrun Bauer, the founder of the initiative, was ecstatic with the cheque she received at the PSI Auction.
