Arlette and Jasper Kohl, organizers of the prestigious CDI Perl, have announced that the 2016 edition of their show will not be taking place. The Kohls are taking a break from hosting the event, but will most likely stage it again in 2017.

Since 2012 the CDI Perl has been hosted at the Kohl's amazing Gestut Peterhof in Perl-Borg right near the Luxembourg border.

"We are very proud of what we have achieved and think back with great joy on the show, especially on 2014 when it was a WEG qualifier and when Peterhof became the training camp for the German WEG team," said Arlette and Jasper Kohl. "This year we had 170 horses and 21 tests over five days and we reached the limit of our capacity."

Because of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, it was hard to find the right date for the 2016 CDI Perl and fit the show in on the FEI calendar.

"Therefore we have decided to take a break for now. The Peterhof Dressage Gala will continue though," said Arlette Kohl.
