Marlies van Baalen's former number one Grand Prix horse Miciano has returned to his owner Johann Hinnemann's yard Kursterhof in Germany, where he has become a schoolmaster for a Russian student. Miciano will most likely not return to the show ring.

The 14-year old Westfalian gelding Miciano is by Medici out of Dayenna (by Dialekt).

Under Marlies van Baalen the hot chestnut gelding made his international Grand Prix debut at the 2011 CDI-W 's Hertogenbosch. The duo competed at a string of international shows, including Stadl Paura, Aachen, Hickstead, Drachten Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Wroclaw, Odense, London, Gothenburg, Roosendaal, and Arnheim.

The pair's career highlights include winning the 2014 Dutch Indoor Championships and competing at the 2013 World Cup Finals in Gothenburg.

Their last show together was the 2014 CDIO Aachen. Miciano has not been shown internationally in 2015.
