Parbery Continues Winning Streak at 2015 Australian Dressage Championships

Brett Parbery is certainly the man to beat this week at the 2015 Australian Dressage Championships in Sydney. On the third day of competition on Friday 23 October 2015, Parbery continued his winning streak claiming the CDI-W Grand Prix aboard Susan Duddy's Australian bred DP Weltmieser.

The CDI-W Grand Prix was contested on Friday afternoon in the indoor arena. Brett rode his dark bay gelding DP Weltmieser to victory by scoring 70.820% from the Judges. In second place was Mary Hanna and 'Umbro' with a score of 70.380% and placing third we had Maree Tomkinson and 'Diamantina' with a score of 69.80%. An international panel of judges, including Holler (GER), Fowler (AUS), Schwennesen (AUS), Foy (USA), and Tissot (FRA), assessed the class which had an unusually big field of twenty competitors.

In this morning's FEI Young Rider CDI-Y Team event, Elloise Devlin and Brimstone Anakiwa representing Queensland were the class winners with a score of 70.947% in a beautifully ridden test. In second was Victorian Tayla Desmet and Rodrigo III on 66.132% and in third we had Claire Plenty from New South Wales riding Queensland'on a score of 64.579%.

For the CDN small tour championship, the Intermediaire I was held outdoors and Brett Parbery was the winner aboard Longvue Florencio (by Florestan x World Magic). After winning Thursday's Prix St Georges, Parbery now also won the Inter I riding a beautiful test to score 70.500%. He just managed  to hold out Lisa Martin and First Famous by 3/100ths of a percentage point. Placing third, also with a strong showing was Nicole Tough and Borsato who scored 68.289%
