Replacing the late managing director Gerrit Jan Swinkels, Dutch Olympian Anky van Grunsven has been appointed chair of the board of Indoor Brabant, the international horse competition that annually runs the CDI-W/CSI-W 's Hertogenbosch in March.

For the past 13 years Swinkels was the chair of the board at Indoor Brabant but he passed away after a horse riding accident in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, on Monday 25 May 2015.

Anky van Grunsven has now taken over the batton. "Indoor Brabant is my home show. I've been riding here with much pleasure since I was 16 and have many nice memories of this show. As new chair of Indoor Brabant  I hope that all competitors, visitors, sponsors and people involved will have an equally great experience here and I want to contribute to the developing of Indoor Brabant on many levels."

The board has also been expanded with Gijs Bartels, managing director of Academy Bartels and son of Tineke and Joep Bartels. Gijs has much experience hosting equestrian events, such as Horse Event and the Global Dressage Forum.
