The bright bay colt Kompaan (by Geniaal out of Dancing Lady (by Dancier)) was named the winner of the 2015 KWPN Foal Championship held during the KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on Friday 14 August 2015.
Kompaan is bred and owned by Matthijs Maat from Doorn, The Netherlands. The chair of the committee, Toine Hoefs, praised Kompaan for his front and lightfooted way of moving.
Thirteen foals were picked for the champion's ring. The reserve champion is the filly Kyralena N (by Negro x Scandic), bred by the Van den Nieuwendijk family.
The third ranked foal was Kerel ES (by Franklin x Don Renoir), bred and owned by Equi Smart.
