Chap II Colt, Top Seller at 2015 Bavarian Elite Foal Auction

The show jumping bred Chap II x Asti Spumanti colt became the top seller at the 2015 Bavarian Elite Foal auction on Saturday 11 July 2015.

The jumper colt was the best seller out of a collection of 35 foals on offer. He sold for 18,000 euro to the show jumper Lawrence Greene.

The second most expensive foal was a chestnut colt by Van Vivaldi x Abanos, which switched owners for 15,000 euro. The German S-level rider Andrea Vodermaier acquired the colt.

The third most expensive foal was a black colt by Tolegro x Florencio which sold for 13,000 euro. A chestnut filly by Sezuan x Weltmeyer sold for 10,000 euro.

Stallions stations Birkhof, Sprehe, Nymphenurg and Horänder all bought foals at this auction.

The average price for a foal was 6,123 euro.
