The Swiss equestrian federation released today that it will not be sending any dressage riders to the 2015 European Pony Championships in Malmo, Sweden on 5 - 9 August 2015.
The dressage selection committee announced that in agreement with the potential European Championship candidates it came to the conclusion not to send any riders to Malmo to represent Switzerland there this year.
The Swiss youth riders are guided by Heidi Bemelmans, who is the team captain and chef d'equipe of the Swiss pony, junior and young riders team.
"This year we only have two pony combinations (Korsch, Huet) and we preferred to go with a team," Bemelmans told Eurodressage. "It is always hard to find follow up when the pony riders move to junior level. We discussed it with the parents and we agreed that we will aim to go with a team next year."
