German pony rider Kim Burschik has made a successful transition to Junior Riders level in 2015 and is already reaping the fruits of her work at the 2015 CDIO-PJYR Hagen "Future Champions" competition at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany, on 18 - 21 June 2015. Aboard her new horse Powerfee GB, Burschik won the CDI-J individual test and Kur to Music after placing third in the team test.

Burschik and the talented bay mare Powerfee GB put solid seventy percentage marks on the board throughout the weekend. In the team test she scored  70.180% and she upped the ante in the Individual with 73.246%. Kim won the CDI-J Freestyle Final with 75.667% placing first unanimously with all three judges.

“I am particularly happy to be in a position to ride such a fantastic horse,” Burschik said about her excellent results at her first international show with Powerfee GB. "Powerfee gives me a lot of confidece for these competetive tests."

Burschik acquired the 13-year old Oldenburg mare (by Ruiz Soler x Warkant) in February 2015 at Hof Kasselmann. The mare was previousy owned by Carina Seiler and moved to Kasselmann's yard in 2012, where Bianca Kasselmann took up the training and competing of the horse. Bianca showed Powerfee GB at small tour level at the CDI Compiegne in 2013 and at the CDI Cappeln in August 2014. In between Kasselmann's assistant trainer, Spanish Borja Carrascosa Martinez, competed her as well as the 2013 CDIO Aachen and 2013 CDI Deauville.

Burschik got introduced to international dressage sport in 2014. She began competing at CDI's in 2014 at FEI pony level, campaigning the  buckskin German Riding Pony gelding Now and Forever Feivel (by Now or Never de Montmain x Milant) at the CDI's in Hagen and Ebreichsdorf.

In 2015 the 16-year old Burschik made the definite transition to junior riders' level. She is trained by Juliane Dahlmann-Weber and relies on her parents and coach to combine her school duties with an active riding career.

“School is of course very important, but I am also responsible for a living creature,” Burschik commented.
