2015 CDI Fritzens

With five more days to go until the 21st Manfred Swarovski Memorial Dressage competition at Klaus and Evelyn Haim-Swarovski's beautiful private equestrian centre Schindlhof in the Austrian Alps, the international dressage world will be gathering at this highly celebrated four-star CDI on 25 - 28 June 2015.

The CDI Fritzens is more than just a four-star competition with a strong field of starters. For organizers Evelyn and Klaus Haim-Swarovski it is a family tradition with which they also show gratitude and honour for their roots.

“On 15 July 2015 my father Manfred Swarovski — to whom this international dressage tournament has been dedicated to since his death in 1985 — would have been 100 years old. And on 19 June 2015 my mother Hilde celebrates her centennial birthday. So more than usually our event will be held this year in honour of my parents who were always very supportive of my love for horses and my ambition in regard to horse- riding and breeding," said host Evelyn Haim-Swarovski

Evelyn will also compete her top Grand Prix horse Dorina (by Don Schufro) in this show. Evelyn has been training with highly respected German Grand Prix rider and trainer Dorothee Schneider for the past two years.

Hilde Swarovski will not watch her daughter ride in the arena though. “Unfortunately it has not been possible for quite some years for her to come in person, but as a loyal and interested guest of many years she is still very excited about the tournament and about its great popularity at home and abroad," Evelyn explained.

On Saturday afternoon 27 June 2015 a special award will be given to the person “Who is wearing the most beautiful hat.“ There is also a special award “dog owner with hat and dog“ which is hosted by Mirjam Weichselbraun. She is a renowned Austrian TV presenter, who has presented the 2015 Eurovision contest in Vienna with two colleagues.

Renowned French artist Jean-Francois Pignon and his twelve horses in freedom will be given his spectacular show on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Don't miss it!

Forty-nine dressage riders from 15 nations will be competing 69  horses at the 21st Manfred Swarovski Memorial Dressage Competition this year.

The 2015 CDI Fritzens will be streamed live on www.clipmyhorse.de
