2015 German Dressage Championships

The 2015 German dressage Championships concluded on Sunday 14 June 2015 at Schloss Wocklum in Balve, Germany, with Kristina Sprehe crowned as German Grand Prix champion. The WEG GP Special bronze medal winning Sprehe continues to be Germany's number one dressage rider and grabbed national gold in the Special as well as the Kur to Music.

The Championships in Balve were action packed with a program across the levels from junior and young riders to developing Prix St Georges and Grand Prix horses as well as for Under 25 Grand Prix riders.

Balve was the decisive selection event for German team selection for the 2015 European Junior and Young Riders Championships. Semmieke Rothenberger reigned surpreme in the junior division but in the young riders classes the battle was between Bianca Nowag and Anna Christina Abbelen.

In the Developing Prix St Georges horse class Beatrice Buchwald scored a victory on her Bundeschampion Lord Carnaby. Under 25 rider Juliette Piotrowski won the Piaff Forderpreis qualifier.
