The parents of Austrian pony and junior rider Nicola Ahorner have acquired the 13-year old Oldenburg mare Diamantenbörse from the Luttgen family two weeks ago to strengthen their daughter's string of horses.

The chestnut Diamentenbörse is bred by Friedrich Hagedorn and is by Diamond Hit out of Glanzstern (by Rubinstein I).

Under Heiko Klausing the mare competed at the 2005 Bundeschampionate where they finished 8th in the 3-year old riding horse class and she became the 2005 Oldenburg regional young horse champion. In 2006 she was shown by Vanessa Grimm.

The mare sold to the Luttgen family and got trained by their young horse rider Jessica Süss as of 2008. They earned bronze at the 2007 Bundeschampionate and then achieved a career highlight by claiming bronze at the 2008 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, Germany.

In 2009 and 2010 Anna Katharina Luttgen campaigned the mare at international small tour level, but sister Louisa also rode her a junior level a few times in 2009. In 2012 Louisa Luttgen took over the ride and showed her at Young Rider level. In 2013 they moved up to Under 25 Grand Prix level. The mare did only two shows in 2014, her last being the regional show in Mettmann in April 2014, where Anna Katharina Luttgen rode her at Intermediaire II level.

Nicola Ahorner will now continue Diamantenborse's show career with the help of her trainers Belinda Weinbauer and Fiona Quarda. Ahorner now has three junior rider's horses (Robespierre, Florinero) as well as four ponies (Nice Blue Eyes, Dynasty, Mad Max, Dornik's Donovan).

"My trainer helps me manage riding all the horses, so that I can still study after riding," explained the 15-year old Nicola, who studies at the American School in Vienna. Ahorner and Diamantenbörse have already made their competition debut in Austria and won a junior team test with 71.98%.
