The Oldenburger Pferdezuchtverband offers an exciting four-day trip specially organized for breeders and riders. From 3 June 2015 until 6 June 2015 the Oldenburg team will host the breeders course ‘Summer Meeting’ in Vechta, Germany. You will learn a lot about breeding sport horses and visit very famous horses, experts and places. The group of international breeders from all over the world will join a very educational and exciting tour through the highlights of Oldenburg breeding.
The participants will get to meet famous sires in person. The schedule offers, for example, a visit to stallion legends like Diamond Hit, Sandro Hit, Sir Donnerhall I, San Amour, Bordeaux, Fürst Romancier, Fürstenball, Balou du Rouet, Landor S, Lordanos, Don Gregory, Dante Weltino, For Romance, Fidertanz, Check In, and many many more. The group will take exclusive tours of famous stallion stations and will be provided exclusive background information. Furthermore the breeders will have the possibility to find out more about the character of the stallions and talk to experts about the way of inheritance.
Additionally the group will visit famous breeders and enjoy the warm hospitality of Oldenburg’s traditional breeder families. Furthermore, breeders will learn a lot about successful breeding strategies and exceptional mare lines.
The participants of the Summer Meeting will also be given an opportunity to look behind the curtain at one of the Oldenburg registration events and learn what’s important when assessing foals. The opportunity to learn from an experienced judge about the evaluation of foals, will be given during the vet check of the auction foals. The participants of the Summer Meeting will get to know all facets of the horse breeding starting with the choice of the brood mare, the decision which stallion to use on which type of mare and gain useful tips in how to raise young horses.
On the last day of the interesting trip, the group of the Summer Meeting will celebrate a great time on the Summer Mixed Sales auction with riding horses and very interesting foals.

During the whole tour you will have the personal assistance of the Verband's employees. Furthermore you will have the chance to get personal advice for your own breeding programme and there will be plenty of time to find answers for any questions you may have.
The Summer Meeting costs 800 euro p.p., including five overnight stays in a luxurious hotel, all breakfast and lunch, all tickets and transportation in Germany. Of course, the Oldenburg team will organise the airport transfer for you. The main language of the Summer Meeting will be English, but the Oldenburg team is happy to organise an interpreter for any languages you may need.
