Winning all three pony classes at the 2015 CDI Stadl Paura on 1 - 5 April 2015, Germany’s Nadine Krause and her top pony Danilo (by Dornik x Powerboy) won the team test, Individual and Kur with 75,299%, 75.569% and 78.125%. Her Austrian weekend certainly was one filled with success as Krause also claimed the runner-up spot in the team and individual tests on her second pony Cyrill with 73,761% and 74,187%.
“Stadl Paura was the first time I have competed with two ponies at an international show for over two years,” said 15-year old Nadine. “It was very hard in Stadl Paura because of the bad conditions in the stable tents.”
After a 7-hour drive down to Stadl Paura, a storm welcomed the riders and the stable tents blew away, meaning that all horses had to be quickly relocated to fixed stables.
“The police and firefighters came and closed the stable tents because it was too dangerous to have the ponies in them," she reminisced.
Fortunately Nadine's training in the lead up to the show had been spot on, so she was very well prepared. “Both ponies felt very confident and were, just like me, well prepared," she stated. "Despite the change of the stables at the horse show both my ponies remained calm.”
Nadine’s mother spotted her top pony Danilo at a competition nearly four years ago. Nadine says Danilo is calm, superior, and that you can always count on him.
“Danilo is always hungry, loves standing in the field, having free time and has three wonderful paces," she listed. "I can still improve a lot at the next show, but it is now in the section of the fine-tuning."
With all her horses living at her family's property, Nadine trains with her mother and her plan for 2015 and the future is to get to the European Championships for the fourth time before making her debut at junior riders' level
