Three stallions were approved for Westfalian breeding following the 2015 Westfalian Under Saddle Licensing which was held in Munster-Handorf on 31 March - 1 April 2015.

Twenty-six stallions, born either in 2011 or 2012, were entered to participate in the under saddle licensing and twenty showed up. They were presented in hand on hard surface and shown in freedom on day one. The second day there were presented under saddle and test ridden by a guest judge rider, followed by in-hand walk and the announcement of the verdict of the licensing committee.

This was only the second under saddle licensing of the Westfalian society and the committee was strict in granting the approved status. Only three stallions made the cut.

The licensed colts are

  • Duvalier (by Don Juan de Hus x Belissimo M) - bred by Matthias Borkenfeld - presented by Stefan Holtwiesche
  • Fred the Red (by Franziskus x Florestan x Democraat) - Bred by Albert Schulze Topphoff - presented by Frederik Vekens
  • Don Index x Metternich x Brentano II - bred by Aloys Ewers - presented by Norbert Nowak
