Stephanie Kooijman Goes Independent

Dutch multiple young rider team medalist Stephanie Kooijman has set up shop as an independent rider after being an assistant trainer at Bartels Academy in Hooge Mierde, The Netherlands, for four years.

Rabo Talent team member Stephanie Kooijman is relocating her horses to the Schalekamp family's Stable de Randhoeve in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, whch is closer to her parents' home.

The 21-year old Kooijman has been a fixed member on the Dutch junior and young riders team aboard the Dutch warmblood Winston (by OO Seven x Cocktail) and won two team silver, two team bronze and one team gold medal at the European Junior and Young Riders Championships from 2010 till 2014. At the 2011 European Junior Riders Championships she won individual test bronze and kur silver, at the 2013 European Young Riders championships she repeated that same set as individual medals. She was also the 2012 and 2013 Dutch Young Riders Champion.

Since 2011 Kooijman has been working at Bartels Academy and received the ride on Don Presidente and Rialdo, which she has lost with the move to Dordrecht. Tineke Bartels will continue to train Stephanie who is preparing Winston for an Under 25 debut.
