The state stud in Celle will be giving their newly licensed Hanoverian stallion Talisman (by Totilas x Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) a chance at standing at stud, after it turned out that the viability of his semen is poor.

"For weeks we have tried but were unable to improve the viabiility of Talisman's semen minimally," Celle state stud explained. "Still because of the high quality of this stallion we have decided to stand him in Celle."

Mares will have to be transported to Celle where their vet team will take care of the insemination. Only when the mare is proven in foal will the stud fee for Talisman have to be paid.

"We had to think about Don Crusador when we made this decision. He also got this chance at the state stud and today we have many highly paid offspring and highly decorated mares by him, as well as our Don Index."

At the 2014 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden, the premium colt Talisman was the second most expensive stallion of the auction, selling for 360,000 euro to the Celle State Stud.
