Combinations Known for 2014 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals

2014 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals

With the final qualifier coming to a conclusion in Nurnberg, Germany, on 1 November 2014, all rider and horse combinations qualified to compete in the 2014 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals are known. This show circuit, with a finals at the 2014 CDN Frankfurt on 18 - 21 December 2014, is the German equivalent of a Developing Prix St Georges Horse championship for horses between 7 and 9 years of age. 

Sixteen qualifiers in total, of which one took place in Austria, were held from April til November. The winner of each Prix St Georges Special qualification class is eligible to contest the finals in Frankfurt.

Norwegian Isabel Bache won the season opener in Hagen on Riverdance, Isabell Werth won the last event in Nurnberg on the 8-year old Emilio (by Ehrenpreis).

The highest qualification score this season was ridden by Under 25 Grand Prix rider Charlott Maria Schurmann on the Hanoverian stallion Edward. She scored 75.829% at the qualifier in Balve. Schurmann won the 2012 Finals aboard her stallion Burlington.
