Feinklang, Top Seller at the 2014 Westfalian Foal Auction

The bay colt Feinklang (by Franziskus x Sir Donnerhall I) became the top selling foal at the 2014 Westfalian foal auction in Munster-Handorf on 3 August 2014.

The collection included approximately 100 foals which sold at auction. The average price was 6.830 euro for a sport horse foal.

Feinklang, bred by Bernd Schulze-Tomberge, was the price highlight of the auction selling for 40,000 euro to The Netherlands.

The second most expensive foal was the colt Escowell (by Escolar x Rockwell). Bred by the breeders' group Grede, this bay colt sold for 19,000 euro to Rhineland. The third most expensive foal was the colt Special Effect (by Sir Heinrich x Conceicao) which sold for 17,000 euro

The top selling filly was Fleur de Jour (by Furstenball x De Niro), bred by Klaus Grosse Lembeck. This bay filly sold for 15,000 euro to Luxembourg. Filly Durchstarterin (by De Niro x Sandro Hit) switched owners for 13,000 euro.

Twenty-three pony foals were up for auction and 16 sold. The best seller was the colt Digimon (by Don't Worry x Champion de Luxe), which sold for 15,000 euro to a local stable. The same buyers also acquired the most expensive pony filly by Dreidimensional AT x Top Gun I for 6,500 €.
