The 5-year old Fairplay H and the 6-year old Patty won the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Regional Championships in Tubingen, Germany, on 6 July 2014. Fourteen 5-year olds and eight 6-year olds gathered in Tubingen to contest the qualifier.
Ines Knoll and the Baden Wurttemberger gelding Fairplay H (by Furst Hohenstein x Disco Tanzer) led the 5-year old division with a strong 8.7 total score. The grey gelding scored 9 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 9.5 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 9.0 for general impression, which were some of the highest scores of the season so far. Katrin Burger and the Oldenburg stallion Danzarino (by Diamond Hit x Laurentio) were the runners-up with 8.5. They got 8.5 for trot, 8 for walk, 9 for canter, and 8.5 for submission and general impression.
Nicola Haug and the German Sport Horse registered mare Patty (by Quaterback x Casado) aced the 6-year old division with an 8.1 score. The pair got 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.0 for canter, submittion and 8.5 for general impression. Nicole Casper and the Wurttemberger bred Dallas (by Don Diamond x Damon Hill) were second with 7.6. They got 8 for trot, 7 for walk, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8.0 for general impression.
